The challenge of the reconversion of this space in an urban agricultural park is to integrate leisure, people's interest in growing their own food and protection of biodiversity while (re)creating pedestrian linkages in a very unique setting: the former Gatow Airport. First used by the Luftwaffe and then by the British Royal Airforce, this enclosed space still presents traces of landing paths and a shooting field while offering long views towards Berlin and the surrounding forests.
